(8) The C-700 is an oscillating style, positive displacement water meter. Product utilizes a piston which the water rotates in a measuring chamber, each revolution being equivalent to a known volume of water. The piston movement transferred by a magnetic drive to a straight reading sealed register which contains appropriate reduction gearing.
The C-700 meter fully complies with the American Water Works Association Standard C-700 as most recently revised. Kent meters must be installed in a clean pipe line, free from any foreign materials. These meters may be installed in a horizontal or inclined line.
The meter is for use with POTABLE COLD WATER up to 120°F (50°C) and working pressures up to 150 psi. The meter will perform with accuracy registration of 100% ± 1 1/2% within the normal flow range. Both pressure loss and accuracy tests are made before shipment. No adjustment need be made before installation. Should further tests be desired, the requirements in Table 5-3 AWWA Manual M6 should be followed.
The meter consists of the main case, a driven register or register pulser assembly. The main case is cast brass with raised characters showing direction of flow. The top plate is made of PPO-Glass-Loaded and scured by a closing nut made of Polyacetal-Glass Loaded which is threaded into the main case, sealed by the O-ring gasket. The main case is designed to house the impeller/magnet and transfers the flow to the register pulser. The register pulser is positioned to the top plate with expansion dowel pins and secured by a clamp made of Polyamide with a threaded securing pin and nut.

Based on no moving parts electromagnetic technology, SmartMeterTM is not affected by wear (and the subsequent inaccuracy caused by mechanical wear) even in areas where grit and sand are an issue. The meter’s advanced sensing technology also delivers extended operational life with long term accuracy. Its unique air detection system prevents measurement of air flow, which can occur at high points in the water network and at the start of water delivery. The robust new Fortron (PPS) base is totally resistant to acid/corrosion attack in all water conditions. The material has excellent properties of tensile strength, hardness and surface integrity. It can be used with brass and other metallic fittings.
TS4000 Turbine Meters are designed for installation where occasional low and moderate to high sustained flows are demanded. Water passes through the meter without a change in flow direction, driving a helix rotor in direct proportion to the quantity of water passing through the meter. Rotor revolutions are transferred to a register by a magnetic drive.
For monitoring hot water flows for batch or continuous flow processes, Elster AMCO Water provides inferential meters to accommodate a variety of flow rates, pipe sizes and maximum temperatures.
Brass case/brass top plate model M190, multi-jet inferential meters are provided in sizes 1 and 1 ½”, for flows from ½ to 31 gpm and 7/8 to 88 gpm, respectively, in services with pressure up to 230 psi and 266º F. An externally powered pulser insert is available to provide a dry contact reed switch output of 1 contact per gallon (or per 10 liters).
Model H4400, can be installed in services where water temperature can reach 350º F and pressures are up to 195 psi, 250 º F where pressure reaches 230 ...
The HT4000 Hydrant Meter is designed for use where water flows from a fire hydrant. The HT4000 may also be used in temporary metering of well pumping, irrigation, construction, testing or similar non-permanent applications. Water passes through the meter without a change in flow direction, driving a helix rotor in direct proportion to the quantity of water passing through the meter. Rotor revolutions are transferred to a register by appropriate reduction gearing and a magnetic drive.
For measurement of a wide viscosity range, including light, medium and even heavy heating oil and diesel oil, the Elster AMCO Water line offers oil meters from 1/8” through 2”, covering flows from ¼ to 8000 gph with accuracy ± 1%.
At the very lowest flow rates (¼ to 50 gph / 1 to 200 l/h) and operation up to 140ºF, Elster offers compact Oil Meter Models Elster4 and Elster8. Designed for measurement of #2 oil, Elster4 and Elster8 are suitable for measuring gasoline and other light heating oils for line lubrication and for heating units and industrial furnaces, gasoline engines, including emergency generators, and gasoline applications, as well as industrial batching or rate of flow ...
